Authority to Hear Study Recommendations
Jan. 16
The next step in the Part 150 Study process will be for
Project Manager Andy Harris to present the Final Draft
Part 150 Study Report to the Airport Authority at its
January 16 meeting. Authority members received the
Final Draft Report for review during the first week of
January.
The Final Draft Report is posted under the Documents
button on this website. A hard copy is available for
public review at the Piedmont Triad Airport Authority
office.
Harris and other consultants prepared responses to
comments from a public hearing that was held November 16
at the Airport Marriott. Nearly 100 area residents
attended the public hearing, with nearly 30 people
offering comments and questions about the proposed Noise
Compatibility Program (NCP) that has been developed for
PTIA. The NCP in the Final Draft Report includes
responses to comments and questions.
The public hearing was a forum for citizens to air their
views about recommendations created by airport
consultants and three study committees over the past two
and a half years. People could make official comments
publicly during the meeting, privately to a
stenographer, or submit comments in writing.
The hearing was facilitated by Andy Harris, Part 150
Study project manager, who offered an overview of PTIA’s
Part 150 Study process. He said that all comments would
be reviewed and the final version of the NCP would
address the questions and concerns expressed by meeting
attendees. |
